　　本片改编自曾获得读卖文学奖戏曲·剧本奖的松田正隆所著舞台剧，以不下雨的长崎夏天为舞台，讲述了主人公·小浦治（小田切让 饰）因儿子去世的丧失感而停止了人生时间的故事。被妻子惠子（松隆子 饰）抛弃的他，和妹妹阿佐子（满岛光 饰）留下的17岁侄女优子（高石明里 饰）开始共同生活，故事由此展开。治在惠子去接儿子牌位的时候隐约注意到了他工作过的造船厂同事阵野（森山直太朗 饰）和持田（光石研 饰），优子在打工的地方结识了前辈立山（高桥文哉 饰）。失去爱的男人，放弃爱的女人，以及不懂爱的少女。每个人在面对各自苦楚的同时，在如夏日沙石般干涸的心中，发现了小小的希望之芽。

　　Anna is stuck: she's approaching 30, living like a hermit in her mum's garden shed and wondering why the suffragettes ever bothered. She spends her days making videos using her thumbs as actors - thumbs that bicker about things like whether Yogi Bear is a moral or existential nihilist. But Anna doesn't show these videos to anyone and no one knows what they are for. A week before her birthday her Mum serves her an ultimatum - she needs to move out of the shed, get a haircut that doesn't put her gender in question and stop dressing like a homeless teenager. Naturally, Anna tells her Mum to "back the f-off". However, when her school friend comes to visit, Anna's self-imposed isolation becomes impossible to maintain. Soon she is entangled with a troubled eight year old boy obsessed with Westerns, and the local estate agent whose awkward interpersonal skills continually undermine his attempts to seduce her.

　　In a quiet residential area, four domestic robots suddenly decide to take their masters hostage in their own home. Locked together, a not-quite-so-blended family, an intrusive neighbor and her enterprising sex-robot are now forced to put up with each other in an increasingly hysterical atmosphere! While, outside, the Yonyx, the latest generation of androids, are trying to take over. As the threat draws closer, the humans look elsewhere, get jealous, and rip into each other under the bewildered eyes of their indoor robots. Maybe it's the robots who've got a soul -- or not! 在一个宁静的社区中，四个家用机器人突然决定把他们的主人挟持在自己家中。一个相处不太融洽的家庭，一个爱打听的邻居，她的性爱机器人，现在被锁在一起，被迫忍受彼此，气氛越来越歇斯底里！而在屋外，最新一代机器人 Yonyx 正试图占领世界。随着威胁越来越近，人类看向别处，心生嫉妒，在家用机器人迷惑的目光下互相撕咬。也许机器人才是有灵魂的？也可能不是！

　　明明（周迅饰）是一个浪迹江湖的侠女，与阿D（吴彦祖饰）一见钟情。为了阿D口中的“有了五百万，就去哈尔滨一起生活”的诺言，冒险去抢黑社会头目猫哥（张信哲饰）的钱。　　其实，阿D还有另外一个女友，名叫娜娜（周迅饰），拥有和明明一样的容貌，就连爱慕明明的青年阿土（杨佑宁饰）都将她们认错。　　究竟哈尔滨埋藏着怎样的秘密，值得阿D一直追寻？　　明明从猫哥那里抢来的盒子，究竟又承载着怎样的秘密？明明和娜娜的爱情，又将走向何处呢？
